Fixing Hut

Back in 2004, was the start of the journey of what is now today known as The Fixing Hut. As a woodwind endorsing musician and successful recording artist, Ric Wood (www.ric-wood.com) often required numerous repairs, modifications and regular servicing to his own instruments

After repair apprenticeships and courses Ric decided to expand and open his workshop services to the public in 2012

In 2015 Ric's workshop grew with an expanding roster of other colleagues working alongside him and the workshop became what it is today:

A fast and quality service for everything woodwind repair along the South of the UK

Here at The Fixing Hut, we service and repair saxophones, flutes & clarinets and everything that entails

As a member of The National Association of Musical Instrument Repairers & The Musician's Union, alongside our endorsements of Theo Wanne &  Nuvo Instrumental, you can rest assured that your instrument repair & service is in safe hands

We repair instruments belonging to adults and children from beginner budget friendly instruments to exquisite hand made custom professional instruments.

We also work on professional musician's instruments (including many cruise ship musicians), there are school instruments we look after, not to mention local music shops bringing in clients via personal recommendation, then of course our local Solent Radio recommend us also
